One of the best of this seasons brews. Really dark fully flavored beer with lots of chocolate in it.

Nice robust, chocolatey, nutty overtones.

Pours a dark ruby to dark brown body topped by a decent tab head that recedes quickly and laced but negligibly. Aroma is slightly toasty, of burnt/roasted caramel malt. Taste is similar, with a bit of baking bread and a touch of spicy nutmeg, alongside a pleasant warmth beyond its ABV despite not tasting the alcohol. A bit like a spiced robust porter and easily my favorite beer of this style so far!

One of the best winter ales made. Great beer.

Enjoyable! Flavour a little weak for me. Bitter hop taste with sweet finish.
