Good rye IPA, sweet, full bodied, malty, nice hop flavor with this one. A little pricy - $5 for a single at Total Wine Naples FL. 4/21/16 12 oz bottle 4 stars

Pine and citrus hop aroma with a subtle notes of spicy rye Dark orange with hues of red. Copper is pretty dame close. Clear with a pillowy off white head that stats until the end. Sweet malt is woven into the pine hop flavor. Definitely hints of citrus, orange maybe. A slight peppery tingle probably from the rye. It all gives way to a bitter finish that is more dry than sweet. Feels resinous in the mouth. Med-high body. Carbonation comes across as low but it is probably higher than it feels with the strong body of the beverage. Overall- wonderful rye IPA. Does well to keep the hop dominant but also showcase that rye malt. I guess that's why it's called showdown- you get the malt and the hops giving their best in this beer!

Very good IPA. Extremely aromatic with notes of untoasted malt and spicy rye. Rich reddish-amber color with a small dissipating head. Smooth, somewhat fruity taste with little hint of bitterness. Fruity bubblegum taste flowing into a mild bitterness on the finish.

Great. Pours copper with wicked huge fluffy head. Smells hoppy and grapefruit. Nice spicey rye pa. Piney hops some grapefruit. Nice mouth feel
