Nice bitter ipa with smooth finish.

Excellent! Many nuances on the palate. Not just an overwhelming bitter bomb, like most ipa's these days. Citrus notes, similar to NG's Moon Man, balance the ibu's nicely.

Wow! Pours lite golden with frothy head. Smells fruity and slightly hoppy. Kapow! Giant grapefruit with a backbone of malt and sweet hops. Slightly dry finish. Wow what a ride

Super bitter but surprisingly balanced as a double.

Absolutely hands down incredible

Bought in WI Oct 2014. Really amazing double IPA. Loved it. Super bitter but balances with citrus hops as it warms up. Would have again

This DIPA pours a clear medium golden, looking inviting in the glass. The head is think and fairly short lasting. Citrus, especially tangerine with some grapefruit, is present on the nose. A slightly creamy mouthfeel is noted on a nice malt backbone. The citrus hop flavor is central with little pine. The finish is smooth with understated hop character this is not a resinous hop bomb like many DIPAs. Enjoyable to drink, but the 9%ABV will boomerang around and get you. I would like to see New Glarus rotate this into it's regular offerings. A great contrast to Spotted Cow.
