MonicaAJC - July 15, 20167/14/16. From Weis Mkt. Great color and initial head. Melts down to lacey fairly quickly. Aroma is good, not powerful, with a spicy floral notes. The aroma beats the taste, which has a somewhat harsh aftertaste--though I must say for 10% ABV it's smoother than one would expect. The only reason I don't give it 4 stars is because I'm spoiled by Duvel Tripel Hop, which is my gold standard for Belgian strong pale ales. Sanctified is missing the smoothness of the Duvel. But at half the price maybe not a bad alternative!
