It's ok. Not like a
Porter at all more like a fake flavored beer. Has a sweet taste of sugar, nothing more

Pours a good head, nice retention. Nose is smoky, just hints of maple and chocolate. Full bodied. Slightly sweet. Balanced bitterness, smoke, chocolate, and maple come through. Finish is smoke and maple. Not a bad beer, just not my style.

The porter is strong with pecan and maple flavors. The beer seems slightly too syrupy. First sip strikes memory of a pancake syrup taste. Sam Adams did a great job emulating the pecan and maple flavors, however it resembles a syrup too much. Not a bad beer overall, however I wouldn't recommend more than one per sitting.

Can smell the maple but its not noticeable, mainly slightly sweet pecan (but brown) taste

Pours a dark brown with orange highlights. Thin light brown head.
Molasses and maple aroma with notes of coffee. Flavor is malty, maple syrup, coffee, and a slight bitter finish that leaves a lingering nutty aftertaste. Mouthfeel is smooth and slightly silky, medium bodied with a surprising amount of carbonation for a porter.
