bersnobs - May 3, 2014Was looking forward to an overwhelming pumpkin explosion but alas... this came up short. Sort of disappointing. It's missing something in the pumpkin department. Heard it was amazing on draft.

tonyc210@gmail.com - November 22, 2013Not much aroma, thus beer concentrates on the pumpkin and not the spices. Nice dark ale, minimal head. Rich, sweet candied pumpkin flavor. A bit woody, as if it was barrel aged, although bottle does not indicate that. Notes of clove, allspice, and cinnamon. Good try at an imperial pumpkin from a large brewery.
onestaab - November 11, 2013Not terribly impressed with this rendering from Boston Beer Co. The nose of the beer was pleasant enough; spice notes...cinnamon and slightly nutmeg. However, there was little pumpkin flavor and there was a overwhelming alcohol taste with the first sip. A little too strong for an easy-drinking, seasonal beer.
