Bought 1liter bottle from hopsacks filling station. Good head, gold cloudy appearance. Okay IPA, pretty bitter and hoppy and I really can't taste the coconut. But I think the coconut does change the flavor of the IPA in some way. Its unique but I probably wouldn't pay $10 again for this liter bottle.

Hazy golden orange with large, lingering off-white head. Aroma is good hop, grassy and piney. When it's too cold it's super bitter, too much so. As it warns the grass comes out a bit more and it's got a sweetness that's not so mellow. Good, and coconut is hidden. Not bad.

Goodish, not great

Little to no coconut after taste but an amazingly smooth hoppy finish. One of my favorite beers to date.

Thought it was pretty good. But as many described no coconut essence.

Harsh and bitter. No coconut aroma or flavor... Not a typical Stone product.

Most "fun" I have had with an ipa in a long time

Can't really taste the coconut, and that is a good thing! But this is a very good IPA. Maybe coconut in the aroma a bit if I think about it enough.

This is a very solid IPA and I would probably given it 4 stars if it was calling itself a straightforward IPA. The problem here is that it's supposed to be a coconut IPA. There is no coconut nose or taste that I could pick up at all. This is especially disappointing given the way the beer is described on the bottle. It is not made to sound as though the coconut is subtle. It is made to sound as though it is very forward. Yet it doesn't exist. Disappointed in that regard. Otherwise, as mentioned above, a really enjoyable IPA.

Amber in color with a white frothy head and grapefruit & tropical fruit aromas. Hop forward on the palate with a hop bitterness like other stone beers with a tropical fruit sweetness at the finish. a lasting hop dryness in my throat. Coconut is tough to smell or taste, not really present. Really expected more toasted coconut like kona's koko brown. Actually 7.7% abv
