Not as heavy of a beer as I had hoped..

Pours dark brown with 1 finger tan head. Smells and tastes of dark chocolate, toffee and a bit of espresso. Mouthfeel is rich and satisfying. Only a hint of booze. Nice.

It's a medium bodied beer... Very smooth initial sip, and then cinnamon hits. Not overpowering though... Also seems to be balanced with hints of cocoa. Finish seems to be a bittering combo of cinnamon and cocoa as the sweetness wears off. Very good, and I would suggest it to very highly. I don't think it's worth buying a full case, but one bottle every so often is well worth purchasing.

Malty with spice, flat. Ok taste but nothing special. On tap at Avenue Pub, November 2012.

Wow...had on draft. Nice malty sweetness... The vanilla and cinammon really come through. Also have a couple of bottles but have not cracked one open yet to compare to draft. Will probably drink one soon and cellar the other

Draft drawn into a snifter. Malty sweetness with notes of dark fruits - plums, raisins and dates. There's a malty backbone to the taste with notes of black cherries, plums and dates. Light to medium body, low carbonation and a slightly sweet finish.
