Hoppy nose, nice roast character. A little bitter for my taste. Would not purchase again, but its not a bad beer, just not right for me. Might be nicer with some more flavor hops and less buttering hops.

Sweeter than I thought it would be and not as hoppy

This is a very good beer, tap or bottle. Smooth, hoppy and dark IPA, what's not to like!

Hoppy nose, roasted flavor.

Bland and tasteless, for an iPA there was very little flavor, it has a hole in it.

A bit bitter. Dark but not too thick

Split a 4pack with norm (no im not cliff clavin) Out of the fridge cold it had a nice hoppy aroma and taste more along the IPA line. But the second round sat on the counter while we drank the first and it was more like slightly hopped porter. Good stuff either way. Definitely will pick it up again. As for black ipa's I'd take rogue's dad's little helper over this if i was wanting more hoppiness

This is an interesting middle ground between a porter and an IPA.
