2011 version. It poured a very dark brown with a 2"head that started dark at the bottom and ended white on top. It had a faint aroma of spices and tasted like a drink hand crafted and delivered by Santa should.

Aroma: Sweet and deep, like dark chocolate covered cherries. Bordered with just a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg. Appearance: Dark garnet red with a tan, long lasting head. Taste: The immediate flavor is a deep sweet chocolate, lacking the roasted flavor you normally get with this flavor. Rounded with a fruity sweetness the lasts well into the after taste. The mouthfeel is a changing target. It starts a little creamy an quickly thins out to a refreshing finish. Overall: A very great holiday beer. Sweet and chocolaty, it just screams evening Christmas party. Would be great with a few sugar cookies and a crackling fire.
