13MAY13, Game, Louisville, KY Draft, tulip Clear golden yellow color. Just a ring of head. Very yeasty aroma, super aromatic with high sour tones. Slight citrus and lemony notes. More citrusy than any hop notes. Very tasty, light with some clear wild yeast and alcohol at the forefront. Almost some pear and/or apple flavors to smooth it out. Very nice, extremely fun to drink. 99 on ratebeer.

my first Bière de Garde with little frame of reference except what I have read in some books and on websites. It pours a faintly cloudy golden in colour with little head but nice surface spotting. There is a fine balance between sweetness and sourness, sort of like a dry wine or champagne, with a sweeter nose that has a touch of sour and a more sour, tart, acidic taste with just a touch of balancing sweetness. There is a touch of coriander spice and a fairly drying floral hoppy finish. It is smooth, creamy, and essentially lacks carbonation. Very interesting and not bad, but just not as desirable for me personally as a true Belgian sour. Grade: B/B+

Banana citrus medley upended by raucous sour notes. Beyond my ken, but commands respect.

Earthy citrus musty aroma, medium to high carbonation, similar flavored but more citrus lemon like dominant, good malt hop mix and nice little sharpness is aftertaste

Sourness on the nose. Some floral notes. Golden yellow. A hint of citrus and the sourness strike the palate. Very complex. Very smooth. 750 ml bottle.
