An interesting fail. Too watery. Good, but not strong, old fashioned flavor and aroma. The bourbon barreling is the potential ace in the hole for this beer, but the opportunity to give it that perfect enhancement, which would also make it more old fashioned like, is squandered. There is zero bourbon flavor. The body is also too light and to make matters worse, meaning another lost chance to make something happen, there isnt much carbonation. Finally, not sure where the pale ale comes in here; its not discernible at all. Central Waters Brewery in Wisconsin did a similar beer that was more successful.
