Very good flavor and taste but a strong boozy after taste. Was better as it warmed. Smoothed it out. One tasting note mentioned aging it longer and I would like to try that too. My first was bottled 3/04/2014 and opened it 6/26/2014. Wonder how it would taste in another say 6 months.

Very tasty with a smooth boozy finish and after taste. Had I seen the previous post about aging this longer I would have. Mine was bottled 3/04/2014 and I got to try in 6/26/2014. Tried it cold and then when it warmed. I liked it more as it got warmer.

Interesting complex flavors...very tasty for 11% abv...

Pours dark brown and syrupy thick. Nose has strong dark fruits like fig and currants, mixed with a little sweetness. Malt forward taste with a thick mouthfeel. Also nice and bitter. Higher ABV gives a nice warmth. Bottled 7-2-13, enjoyed 1-6-14. If I find another I will age more. Worth finding.
