Rich malty sweetness. I get no bitterness or metallic finish that others speak of. Probably the smoothest and drinkable Octoberfest I've had to date

A very fitting aroma for fall, with hints of gourd-like vegetables and spices in pumpkin pie. Very bready flavor with a malty sweetness. Has a velvety smoothness as it goes down, but like several other free state brews, there is slight metallic aftertaste. Marzens are not my cup of tea, so I'm not best to judge this beer, but it's unlikely that I'll buy more.

The first release was excellent on tap. The bottled version is still good, but not as good as that first batch.
