dlitolff - September 21, 2015Bomber. Pours perfect pitch black with two finger off white head, fades pretty quickly to a thin ring, tiny bit of lace. Dark chocolate and coffee in the aroma. The taste starts with bitter dark chocolate and coffee and then the hops come in to continue the bitterness. There's a little lactose sweetness in there, just enough, but the hops and coffee dominate. Mouthfeel is a little thin to medium, but does possess some slickness. I like some hops and bite in my stouts at times, and this one hit the spot. Nice job by 40 Arpent. September 2015.
