Not what I would call an easy drinking beer...hoppier than I expected, I'm actually tasting citrusy/borderline piney hops in this super thick and roasty stout...not bad for 10.2% abv, though

Okay stout.. Dark chocolate and coffee flavor followed by a slight bite. Drinkable but rough after a while, a heavy liquor burn that lingers, almost a weird medicinal taste to finish similar to founders imperial..after drinking a few bottles this taste is prevalent..really heavy too..have one to get loose then move on..2.5 stars

Strong - i.e. A bit of that alcohol finish, bold, coffee-bourbon, heavenly dark beer. Share slowly with a dear friend or the love of your life. Sing a song to Mr. Narwhal. Follow with a chug of water (to make the night last) then a lighter porter or black lager (wheat or IPA will ruin the amazing finish).

Really nice coffee flavor. Pours black with a thick tan head. Mild coffee scent. Mild dark chocolate and bitter coffee taste. Mouthfeel is a little thin. Nice beer. Thanks Pete!
