Medium bodied. A little stronger than a dunkle. Not bad. Worth buying again.

Dark in color. Nice head. Caramel aroma. Smooth. Easy to drink. Molasses undertone.

Yummy molasses! Lighter lager feel-- malty & molasses taste.

Musty, a little funky

Very smooth, very drinkable. Not as heavy as I would've thought for a black lager. I'd prefer a stronger flavor, but I'll still enjoy it.

IMHO, not so great for this style. Plenty dark. Little musty on the nose and pallet. Nothing to praise. Less than spectacular.

Odd nose, darker color, tastes similar to a porter, deep brown/red color, mild bitterness on the after taste

Dark brown with a ruby tinge when held up to the light. Thick khaki head leaves pretty lace on the globe glass into which it was poured. Nose includes heavy malt presence with intense dark chocolate and coffee. Flavors follow aromas closely. Delicious full-bodied brew with mild carbonation. I look forward to my next one.

Ok for a non malty beer.
