Wine barrel does not add beneficial flavors to BBA stout for me. Black color, no head, very Belgian.

Awesome! Black with a thin tan head. Smell is very much like a barnyard at first, then aromas of grape, black cherry, chocolate and ash sink in. Taste is a huge wave of dry red wine. Musty grapes, oak tannins, slight alcohol and the faint sweetness of chocolate. Smooth drinker with a warm dry finish. Nice beer. I would definitely get this again.
