Nice stout, but don't like the chipotle finish

This is a rich, flavorful and spicy beer. It pours thick, but goes down smooth. The chipotle is very apparent in its thick notes, and makes chugging this (not that you'd want to) nearly impossible. This, for me, was a "one beer tonight" kind of beer, but very very enjoyable.

I'm not well versed in chili-flavoured beers so I wasn't quite sure what to expect but my thoughts were more about taste, not heat. My bad. It's not a bad beer but the bite is more bitter hop than chipotle pepper. Nice chocolate tone but overall disappointing. Not a fan.

I'm thoroughly impressed with this. It has a subtle burn in the back of your throat but doesn't overpower the chocolate. It's a rather pleasant sipper.

Pours pitch black w/ mahogany accents. The aroma is heavenly chocolate. Perfect balance of body so it feels silky smooth across the palate. Flavors of creamy milk chocolate, rich English malt, light roast & subtle smoke, slight burn orange peel before a bright earthy heat envelopes your palate & spreads wonderfully throughout your body in the most pleasant of ways. By far one if the greatest examples of balanced opulence I've ever seen in a chocolate chili stout. This beer is truly beautiful.
