Blending of the bastard series adds a great complexity.

Really hoppy aroma. This tastes really hoppy, malty and crisp. Sort of tastes like a very hoppy and dark hopageddon but a lot higher quality. I would prefer this over double bastard

Malty AND hoppy goodness. Smoother and easier-drinking than expected, but then again I might be TOO well-adjusted to Stone beers.

Wonderful hoppy flavour. Just a tad to bitter

Pours a hazy reddish mahogany with a white a quick fading head. Hoppy and woody nose. The initial taste is like candied apricots. A thicker mouthfeel promotes this sweetness. Subtle bitterness, very balanced. A lingering sweet aftertaste. This is a very complex and fruity beer. Despite it's higher strength there is no alcohol bite. Grab yours while it is still out.

Strong hop aroma, super malty. Almost syrupy. Definitely a full bodied strong ale. The label was idiotic.
