janomac - July 22, 2016A well constructed Scottish ale. Not as heavy as an oatmeal stout, but just as flavorful. Dark beige head over a reddish brown ale. Needs to be cool but not really cold. Caramel sweetness. Just enough hopping to lend a touch of bitter without tipping over the smooth and sweet. If I had tasted blind, I would have guessed this as a nice red ale. Not a heavy mouthfeel, but not watery.
