kbuffo - December 26, 2013Updated 1/15: This year's version still better than most IPAs but lacking strong citrus and bread notes. This year's Mass Rising much better version of VT style.
A fabulous beer! If you love the Vermont blockbusters like Heady and Double Sunshine, this is the closest I've found. It hits the wild tropical early flavors and all the juicy sweetness, perfectly balanced with cutting carbonation and of course hops. But like Double Sunshine, it doesn't leave a pile of bitter in your mouth when you're done. And this is Jack's Abby, so 22oz for $4.50! All those more-hoppy-than-thou 2xIPAs should take notes of this IPL crushing them at their own game.
