Dark, thick head. Great flavors of dry fruit, malt, Mexican chocolate. Lightly hopped and slightly sweet.

Strong vanilla/bourbon nose with an herbal base. Hints of dark chocolate, toffee, and coffee. Slight peppery finish. A little heavier on the bittering hops than I prefer, but I'm not a big fan of IPA's, so take that as you will.
As the beer warmed, the toffee turned to more of a caramel and the pepper note mellowed. Would recommend this beer not be served straight out of the cooler without resting a few minutes in the glass.

Very sweet and tart. Dry on the back tongue. Some herbal tone add a strange contrast.
