The aroma is definitely more tropical than any other IPA I've had. The odor carries into the flavor. There is an initial nice bitter hop bite that diminishes quickly into a blend of grapefruit tropical delight. It finishes by delivering a quick dose of floral hops and leaves very little aftertaste. This beer is an adventure of flavor that is easier to drink than most, with a sneaky 7% ABV that creeps up unexpectedly. Bottle. EDIT - either my taste has evolved, or I got a bad batch. I picked one up in a mixer, remembering how much I liked it last time. It was god awful, like the hops had been sitting in a rank box in the hull of a ship the entire duration of a transatlantic voyage. Three sips and I dumped it. It's unlikely I will give it the opportunity to redeem itself, having not been thrilled with more than one beer from this brewery.

Tastes infused with pine oil... undrinkable! It's like a cider beer with pine instead... neither chicks or dudes would enjoy.

It's a good standard IPA. One that's best drank by itself rather than with food. Not a flavor to be drinking all night. One or two is enough. No sweetness to this one.

Love this one. Didn't like it at first but it grows on you. Tobacco, malt, caramel butterscotchy lots of flavor.
