Strong caramel and coffee flavor up front With a nice hoppy finish. Tastes like a good scotch ale with a hoppy finish.

nice. dark brown color but not quite stout black. smells like a stout, with coffee abd chocolate. tastes like an espresso dark chocolate stout but the body not as heavy. Caramel and sugar in there too. Finish has a nice hop bite. Overall like a stout but more crisp and refreshing.

11 month old bottle from the cellar. Tanish khaki half finger head. Sweet malty molasses notes on the nose. Coffee and still some hops on the taste. It did well with age!

Didn't realize I was ordering a well-hopped beer but the caramelized sugar cut the bite nicely. So still enjoyed it. Casa Rustica, Boone,NC

Smooth coffee taste with a tad of hops. Easy drinking.

Tasted: bottle. Deep amber to brown color, with a cream head. A sweet caramel, brown sugar aroma with a touch of hops. Tasted of roasted chocolate, caramel and brown sugar with a bitter hop backing. The malt profile is very nice but it is hard to pick out the hop profiles. Heavier hop additions would be nice. Overall a very good beer

Interesting beer. Amazing coffee aroma. Flavor is stout-like and dry, but mouthfeel is surprisingly light.
