Great pumpkin favor, not over spiced. High alcohol, but still a good smooth flavor.

This was awesome. Not for the faint of heart I suppose. Very strong at 13+ but better flavor than the regular pumking and just plain excellent. Didn?t want it to end.

So boozy, it was like drinking chilled rum. Should have only seen about 10% of its time in the aging barrel

Rum barrel aged is even better than the original Pumking. 2018 version is 13.4%

2018 Rum barrel aged not as good as original, a bit over-aged in the rum. Completely dulls the great original Pumking taste. Original is one of our favorite pumpkin flavored beers.

Hands down, my favorite beer. I love Pumking, but this has a nicer pumpkin flavor. Oh, and my bottle says it?s 9.5% alcohol.

2014 seasonal - first time Southern Tier aged Pumking in rum barrels. Came out end of year 2014 and we aged it until June 2015 in the fridge. Very thin white head that quickly dissolved opening up with pungent aromas full of pumpkin pie spices, cinnamon and strong vanilla. Almost had a marshmallow or cool whip note to it. Clear orange in color. Pumpkin pie in a glass. Complex tasty flavors of pumking, with cinnamon pumpkin and vanilla. The rum adds a bit of molasses taste but it has a more Astringent finish. We liked the beer a lot but think the original is better, especially given the difference in price. Curious if it will mellow and blend better by the 1yr mark (we have one aging in the cellar for Halloween).

It's good, as is regular Pumking, however to me the difference in taste wasn't very noticeable. You could buy almost three Pumkings to the price of one of these.
