Heavenly coffee aroma with distinct roastiness. Smooth malt flavor that's slightly bitter. It has a mildly burnt taste and almost pepper finish. I love the simple but clever can design. One side shows a coffee cup that says Before Noon and a beer mug on the other side that says After noon. The coffee cup side says Not for use with donuts. This is better enjoyed slightly warmed and not fresh out of the fridge.

It's more like coffee with stout beer added, and that is a good thing. It definitely achieves what it sets out to do, being called "Before Noon," and admittedly, I did. :x Nice roasty coffee flavor without tasting like coffee grounds, a place where many other coffee brews fail. Frothy head that lingers, rich flavor without really being thick. Had from a can.

Tastes like black roasted coffee. THE beer for coffee lovers. That's all there is to it.

I remember in high school when I'd occasionally pick up a Monster java before school. This is my adult equivalent.
Tried @ ameriCAN beer festival. Better than my previous java love: kona pipeline. Less bitter, more coffee/chocolate

Ok stout, nice bitterness and sweet dark choco and coffee. The coffee lingers. Can, February 2013.

Great roasty nose good smoothe drink a slight hop bight no real layered notes beyond the java

Carb, not very smooth. Mid-bodied. Strong coffee, most Ive had. Nice. Toasted notes. Flavor lasts and ends in burnt note. 3.7
