I disobeyed the orders on the can and poured it into glass. It's opaque, hazy orange-yellow color, with a big, fluffy white head. All sorts of lace was left on the glass. Slight breadiness and sweetness, but the citrus really comes out with the hoppiness. Finish has a slight fruity flavor too. Medium body for mouthfeel. A great complex nicely balanced brew. Totally see why it gets such high scores.

Semi aggressive pour out of a can into a solid transparent plastic cup (sorry, on the beach) yielded a hazy, dark yellow color with very limited head. Smell is dominated by piney hops. First taste of citrus. Then bitterness kicks in. Piney hops taste to follow. Full floral aroma unfolds. Bitterness remains in the aftertaste, but not unpleasant. A veeery complex beer. I know it is hyped and it probably is overrated, but it truly IS an excellent beer. Maybe I would rate it a 4.8, but it is more a 5 than a 4.5. If you have a chance to get it, enjoy it!

It was good, but just good. I would drink it again but certainly wouldn't wait it line for it.

One of the hoppiest IPA's I think I've ever tasted. In my opinion, it's all it's cracked up to be

The most interesting IPA I've had, but it's still an IPA.

The near mythological status precedes tasting, reading the can adding to the anticipation. Decide to follow directions and drink out of the can. Delightfully layered packed full of tropical notes if not slightly sweet but does not linger as sweet. Aroma through finish it is incredible and very drinkable with caution needed to remember the 8% abc. Had a pack of 4, the first 2 the best. May have held on to the second pair a bit too long as lacked the same intensity of flavor but may have been result of being several drinks in when opened.

Real nice IPA but as far as local north-central Vermont beers are concerned I still give the nod to Lawson's Sip of Sunshine.

Just drove 3.5 hours to Stowe by for this beer. Excellent, hop balance is as close to perfect as I have ever had, complex layers but not in your face hop pop. An incredibly drinkable double, going to have to plan another road trip
