Had a draft at Hartford/Bradley Airport at the Black Bear Saloon. Very okay Dunkle. I cannot think of too much to say about this to make it memorable. Okay, second tasting on 9/19/19 at The Hill Tavern in Boston. This is a very good Dunkle. Creamy mouthfeel with a subtle malt flavor that is just enough.

I'm typically not a fan of anything heavier or darker than a standard lager, but I tried this at the Windsor brewery and didn't hate it as I expected to. It wasn't too heavy and didn't have an overly apparent coffee taste, so those were both wins in my eyes.

Medium body. Decent depth of flavor. Not heavy at all.

Dunkel is one of my favorite styles of beer so this had a high expectations to live up to. It's ok. Didn't really blow me away though. Nice roasted malt aromas but not much going on in terms of taste.

Dark mahogany appearance with slightly bready aroma. Slightly smoky roasted coffee notes with a smooth mouthfeel.

No competition compared to deschutes hop in the dark. Roasty malty, slighty burnt coffee/chocolate tones. Not fantastic

Bitter, strong coffee tones over very subdued malts.
