A beautiful deep garnet color that has a spicy, almost peppery mouth. It is dry, but with a subtle roastiness that balances some of the bitterness. The finish isn't long.

Heady, dry, and almost spicy or peppery in the mouth. A solid beer that doesn't stay too long. The dryness isn't taxing. There is a subtle roastiness that offsets some of the bitterness.

Has a kind of German skunky hops like a German or European pilsener. Not at all what I expected from a Guinness brand beer. Not bad. Not great.

It's an alright, slightly spiced beer but not worth having to buy a multi case with their dark lager in it just to get 3 bottles of this stuff.

Different from typical Guinness...yes. But still a tasty beverage. Not bad, not that great but a good one to have around

Delicious. Unexpected 'fruit' notes. Nice finish. First enjoyed November 24, 2012.

I am a huge Guinness fan, and I can faithfully say that while this is somewhat of a departure from other Guinness brews it is not overly impressive. Enjoyable when we'll chilled but a bit tart from he hops used.
