Drinking in 2016. This beer is about 3 years old...young for a barley wine, in my opinion. Copper color and an off-white head that disappears quickly (no doubt because of the monstrous 14.9 ABV). Aromas are amazing!! All apricot, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, and char!! I love it!! Unfortunately, the flavors do not follow the nose...in the mouth, it's all out of whack. Mouthfeel is slippery, not full and rich like you want it. Still boozy as hell, the alcohol has definitely held on and is driving this ship. There's some weird citrus flavors (not juicy hop citrus, that disappeared long ago). Maybe this is just suffering from one of those "in-between" phases that barley wines go through on their way to ripeness, but I kind of doubt it. I'm more afraid that this may have jumped the shark.
