bugs318 - January 13, 2012A very fizzy frothy head with moderate retention and no lace. Sour aromas of pear and yeasty mustiness/soapiness. Tastewise, it is somewhat sour and basically exemplary of a (mediocre) Flanders Red, not the sort of red ale I was expecting! It is certainly not bad but probably was not enjoyed by most raters who, like me, thought they were getting a much different style of 'red ale.' It is no Petrus, but it is certainly not as dreadful as some raters implied, but neither is it remarkable or quintessential in its style.
