tonyc210@gmail.com - December 12, 2014Pours a light golden, minimal head that dissipates quickly. Huge aroma of truffle with notes of honey and Belgian yeast.
First taste is just a huge load of truffle up front, sweet honey, thick mouthfeel - like nectar. Loads of Belgian -type flavors: banana, esters, etc. This is a great Belgian tripel loaded up with truffles. Great idea, excellent execution.
I have never experienced a beer like this before. It is extremely rich and filling, like food. It wasn't filling from the malt, but I think the truffles. Like if you eat a small amount of creamy / buttery French food.
