A little alkaline tasting to me. Didn't leave a strong impression. Expected spices, but was wrong.

Smokey nose with a toasty taste and bitter after taste. Not bad.

Wasn't sure what to expect here and I'm pleasantly surprised. Not the best winter warmer I've had yet still very enjoyable. I like the dominant malt sweetness with a little bit of spice at the end.

Great balance of caramel/malt and hops. Nice winter beer.

Too bitter for me. Not what I'm looking for in a winter warmer.

Caramel & fruity nose. No bitterness in the taste with slight alcohol.

Quite a nice winter ale. Had mine two months past the "drink by" date, and it was still good. Nicely balanced hops and malts, perhaps a bit more on the bitter side, which works for me.

Dark brown ale, not much "winter ale" flavor... My gold standard is Great Lakes Christmas Ale...
