I don't kno 'bout this one. It's weird, this one plays tricks on ya. @ 7.5 U can really smell the rye. All qualities are awesome about this brew including the brewery, just not my favorite Founders beer. 3-Stars. (Popped a top)

On initial takeoff I hated this beer. It tasted like a dark grapefruit infused skunk. There is an off-putting cloying finish that stabs at the back of the throat. After drinking 1/4 of it I do not notice the stink and the hops have turned into a sweetish backwash finish. Bottled 12/6/14 opened 2/23/16. Man. This beer is weird, too weird, and I like weird beer...Buy a bottle for your girlfriend when you plan on breaking up.

Complex, smoky malt flavor with dark chocolate and bitter rye notes. Very good. Carolina Beer Temple

When chilled, this dark beer is average. It has a nice flavor and texture, and goes down smoothly. However, when served "just below" or at room temperature, this beer really performs! It has a heavy, creamy mouthfeel, is full of wonderful spices, and outperforms other eye beers by a wide margin. Cold: small head and average performance. Room temp: a lovely thick foamy head the color of a well-toasted marshmallow sitting on a beautifully colored brown body and an ever changing palette of sweetish spices and hints of hops and mild chocolate.
