Another Founders I wanted to like, but don?t. At this point, it?s probably me, not the beer...probably.

My every day Bourbon Aged Stout, Founders never fails to meet expectations in their barrel aged mastery. Malty, caramel, oaky and balanced. If it?s not in your house, I?m sorry for your loss.

From a bottle bought at Summit Beer Shop in Mount Holly, NC. I first had this a while ago and have it the same rating as I would now. This is a very, very good brew that should be taken very seriously. Carmel, vanilla and a little dark fruit. And of course the cherry on top is the bourbon. But I think it still finishes a little weak or I would have rated even higher.

This is one of the best barrel-aged brews I?ve had to date! An orgy of rich flavors!!! Starting with aromas of light scotch, drink this brew a bit on the warmer side to experience nuances of caramel, dark fruit, and spiciness with rich, oaky, bourbon warmth throughout. An excellent sipping brew! At 11.2% ABV, this creation will kick your ass as it seduces your taste buds!

Lovely warm smells of single malt scotch Oaky bourbon barrels smoke sweet caramel and roasted malts a bit of earthy spice it?s a kickback super made to excite the pallet

This is a bourbon beer.

Nice taste all the flowers coming out from tart to finish. Not a fast drinking beer but a good drinking beer.

Nice flavor. Once again Founders impresses me. Nice bourbon sweet flavor but not too sweet for me. Higher ABV. I don?t know if I would call this a wee heavy though. Id definitely get it again.

Tastes like a liquid bourbon ball cookie. If you like bourbon you?ll really enjoy this one. Drink it whilst eating your Christmas cookies!
