Alehound - February 21, 2012Opaque amber, average head, malty nose, strong fizz, smooth texture, well balanced malt and hops, ivy is definitely not too much, Like this one
kevosbob - December 4, 2011This beer tasted better than I expected. It was not too bitter, it had only a slight alcohol burn, and it had a nice malt/bitterness balance. For an 8% alcohol by volume beer, Eye of the Hawk is surprisingly drinkable. However, I could see this being a very dangerous beer once you’ve had three or four. Strong ales are not usually a beer I gravitate towards, but I will definitely be buying Eye of the Hawk again. I recommend this beer as a great beer when you don’t feel like tasting, and just want to drink.
