Nice beer.. Not my favorite doppelbock but it's up there, a little on the sweet side.. Would prefer to taste a little more malt, however still respectable and worth a try.. Nice abv also..3.5 stars * The bottle has an abv of 8.3%.. So let's correct that!!

Deep, brilliant, amber color with creamy, ivory, head. Modest malty and chocolate aromas. Simple, malt flavors with good carbonation and medium bodied. OK - not great. Release #16 shows 5.5 ABV.

Sweet with a 7.7 abv kick. Great doppelbock.

Slight after taste, acceptable for the style. Not bad at all, very drinkable.
bottom
