Duck Rabbit knows dark beers and this is no exception. Always happy to buy.

Hearty coffee smell. Thick head. Smooth but aftertaste is sour and unpleasant.

Draft pint. Good chocolaty milky dessert beer. Lots of malt and little hops. This is a beer I can actually relate to being "thick".

Poured very dark brown (almost black) with no transparency. Hints of coffee in the aroma. Not a huge fan of stouts, but this was good. Smooth and had a good aftertaste that seemed like vanilla. 3/20/2013.

Very nice but not quite as thick and creamy as left hand. Also a little more bitter. Overall, very nice though.

Surprisingly good for a milk stout. Not flat, only slightly sweet, fairly nice toffee flavor.

I'm not a huge fan of Stouts...but man, this one is really smooth and drinkable. It's not very chocolatey which for my tastes is good. I try to support all the NC breweries and this one is high on my list
