Wow!!! Smooth pine aroma. Rich malty mouthfeel with perfect hop bitterness balance. Oak and vanilla in background.

Hazy golden w/ creamy white head. Bourbon, floral aromas open as it warms. Boozy malt backbone balances out hoppy back end. No bitterness.

10-11-13. After 6 months of aging the hops have dropped and now the bourbon really comes through.

This IPA has a great spicy taste with a nice sweet after taste coming from the aging in those bourbon barrels. It takes a few sips before you really appreciate this brew from Michigan. The gold color invokes horror visions of Coors but don't let the color fool you. This beer is delicious and after about a quarter way through the bomber, your loving it. Yes, this is a great beer that only dooms you if you ignore it.

Complex malt/hop profile with alcohol forward finish

5-10-13. Finger thick white head over golden amber color. Head quickly dissipates but leaves level marks on glass. Aroma is heavy on the bourbon. Initial taste is hoppy bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium full. Sweet malty honey flavor. Finishes with hop bitterness and a definite oaky bourbon taste that lingers.
This may be the beer that makes me enjoy bourbon aged beers.

Different DIPA as you can taste the Oaked aged barrel.
