Pours black with finger tan head, fades to thin ring, good lacing. Terrific aroma, smells like chocolate cake with fruity icing. The taste follows with sweet chocolate roasted malt combined with dark fruity fig sweetness. This sweetness meets enough hops for balance in the middle and then returns to sweet at the end. Mouthfeel is medium, slick. Slight alcohol booziness. Overall this is a good stout, on the sweet side but not overly so. Enjoyed it. Bottle, September 2015.
