No aroma at all
Brown/dark ruby color with a small dark brown head that dissipates with a few swallows.
Sweet and malty with an astringent bitterness on the center and back of the tongue.
Burnt carmel and with a slightly chocolaty and smokey aftertaste.
Minimal carbonation but a decent amount of lacing with the head it maintained.
Overall - nice malty brew with a bitter kick at the end of each sip. Solid.

Strong delicious scotch ale unlike any other I've tried. My favorite year round offering from Founders.

No aroma at all but it did have a really nice caramel color. It poured with a great frothy head that lasted. Unfortunately it tasted exactly like you expected, like a shot of scotch dropped into an average ale. I did not even finish it.

Aroma of caramel and toffee. This scotch ale is not as complex as most but fairly tasty. Probably would not want to have more than two of these since they are a little maltier. It is certainly sweet. The toffee aroma carries over to the flavor.

This is easily one of the top 5 American brewed Scottish Ales. Sweet, Smoke and higher ABV are what makes a Scottish and Founders delivers a winner!

Rust red ale w/ nice tan colored head leaving fair amount of lacing. Caramel, heavy malt & nutty nose & flavor. Chewy sweet body ends in warmth of ethanol.
