Great aroma. Pears upfront with light oranges and some lemon.

Full flavored while being light. Wonderful aroma and a somewhat fruity taste. The aftertaste is great. One of the best beers I've had.

Delerium Tremens comes off as a nicely done strong Belgian ale all over the board. Out of the bottle it is very bubbly and surprisingly playfully drinkable which will kick your ass if you're not careful due to the ABV%. Once I got it into the glass many things became apparent. In the bottle it smelled and tasted like any other abbey dubbel but not as roasty or figgy. In the glass it smells almost like a yeasty lager as malt and alcohol hit the nose. However in taste, carbonation, and finish, DT provides a medium bodied fruity ale across the citrus spectrum while also maintaining the esters of a Belgium with excellent carb and a creamy finish. The smells of cloves only really manifested in the bottle, and in some ways I wish I had drank this slightly more chilled and kept it in the bottle. The carbonation of this bev is special I think to its benefit and that is all lost in the pour whilst creating a towering head of foam which takes up 60% of the glass (yes even with proper pouring technique could have been chilled more than the grocery fridge even with a less than 10 from check out to mouth). Will buy again, chill and enjoy in bottle, and must find on tap. Cheers from Chicago Purchased for 10$ at Jewel-Osco

Not bitter, but has a strange sweetness to it similar to a sorghum beer I once had.

Golden hued body capped by generous white head. Spicy & clove aromas lead to complex, carbonated lightly malted yeasty flavors. Excellent.
