Beeker - June 22, 2014This is my favorite beer I have tried from Dark Horse so far. Great flavor and smooth this is a great example of the style "Belgian Trippel". And at 9.5% it will kick your ass!

Draft, 12oz hexagonal snifter
Pours a mostly hazy golden wheat color with about a half finger of white head. Smells very yeasty, with strong hay notes and barn-like. Flavor follows suit, and the mouthfeel is surprisingly thick for the style. Very smooth, quite refreshing, with a mildly dry finish.

julian2412 - July 3, 2012Memorable, unique. Not unlike a red ale. Lots of caramel and malt, very little bite for a trippel. Very smooth for 9.5%abv
