Very dark, nearly black with a one inch frothy tan head. Smells of roasted malts. Tastes very roasty with a slight caramel finish. Not spectacular but a pretty decent beer. And is that Matthew Mcconaughey on the can?

Did not think it would be as dark as it is. Strong coffee tones and a smokey taste as well. If I didnt know better I would swear this is a porter. Definitely not the best offering from Thunderhead, but not horrible.
