Nice smooth VERY dark brown, think Shiner Bock, Ale with caramel flavor that smooths out the reported 46 IBUs. I would not normally drink a Ale with that rating but it's not bitter at all. It will be a staple at our house. If I drank a lot, it definitely would be a great one for becoming as "drunk as Cooter Brown." Which I confess although a born and bred Southerner, I do not know the story of that saying.
