I just had a 2012 vintage in 9/2013. This beer aged very well. The malt oxidized to med-hi apricot the melds into (pleasant) over-ripe strawberry. Quite complex in fermentation and hop character too. Not too in your face. I could definitely go through a 12 oz. bottle in a sitting without tiring of it.

Hoppy brown ale, the hops give it an almost cranberry/ citrus flavor, really awesome holiday ale!

Finish a bit overwhelming but very flavorful quick rise nice hold; sips from Matt Kabel modomio 1/7/12

Christmas spice and sweet malt nose. Taste has mild bitter floral and spruce / pine hops follow by malts and pepper with spices. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Finish is clean with some earthy notes.

A good but not great offering from Goose Island. A little over spiced with the cookie cutter Christmas spices. Needs a bit more balance.
