Great nutty flavor mixed with another complex taste. Easily drinkable, however I could really taste the alcohol at the end and during aftertaste. The booze taste was strong, but would keep you warm at night.

APPEARANCE - Dark brown, with a 4-finger head that dissipates slowly. Not much lacing.
AROMA/SCENT - Nutty, sweet.
TASTE - Fresh, sweet, nutty.
MOUTHFEEL/PALATE/TEXTURE - Good carbonation, smooth.
VALUE - $8 for 11 oz. bottle - low price for an import at a restaurant.
OVERALL/DRINKABILITY - Good drinking beer. Not overly boozy.

2014-11-28 five year old bottle? Still nice light head and chewy malty flavor. Aged well.

Strong soft after taste not filling easily absorved by digestion

Expectedly delicious. Subtle sweetness, great aroma. This is a paragon of Belgian beers, and a great introduction to the style if you haven't experienced the beer culture over there.

Best beer ever. The aroma and smooth taste are incredible. Make sure you in joy this beer in a large open glass.

Prijeten vonj po cokoladi. Na zacetku mehurcki, takoj za tem bananin okus, ptijeten zakljucek.

It's a good introduction into the world of Belgian ales...and it's probably the most readily available in the States...but once you start experiencing more complex ales chimay will start to fall short.

Essence of alcohol tends to overshadow the other tasty characteristics of this caramelly bevvie. Drink COLD.
