Great beer smooth stout, just a little too sweet

Deep coffee black with a crimson translucence and a thick latte head. Aroma is huge malt with some spice and woodsiness. Flavor is just as deep and rich. Big coffee with some of the subtle sweetness from the chicory and chocolatey malt, almost cola aftertaste. Smooth finish, great chilled!

Has a nice standard stout flavor , well balanced but I'm not fond of the dry ending. Most stouts I have had end clean and refreshing , I have no idea why anyone wants a dry wine like ending. This is drinkable but I wouldn't buy it

Having an 08 chicory, way better aged than fresh. Well done Sam!

A very smooth and lightly sweet stout

You can really taste the barley in this one. Kind of like a watered down stout. Not a lot of bitterness. Kind of a stoutish brown ale. Inoffensive.

Fantastic beer. So perfect for the winter seasonal! Could go with some foods... But it's filling!

This is judging by the 2009 batch. This was the last I had and I highly enjoyed it. Very drinkable!

Thought it would be heavier but it's just not as good for the price as some other stouts are. Tastes a lot like obsidian stout from dechuttes brewery but the obsidian stout is richer. And cheaper ha
