Disappointing, I liked the regular chocolate bock but the cherry taste in this is too strong, almost like cough syrup.

It starts with a dark chocolate, red tinged colour and dark, tan head. There is definite sweetness on the nose with strong cherry and chocolate notes. Light on the hops. There is a little roastiness to the nose, too. The scent is reminiscent, in ways, to a Black Forest cake and cherry brandy. Lots of cherry up front in the mouth that mellows to chocolate in the middle, and smooths out to hops in the end. It's a very smooth beer all the way around - and I didn't expect to like it as I'm not a fan of chocolate and fruit together.

Had high hopes on this one since the chocolate bock is one of my favorite beers of all time.. Really disappointed too sweet and almost taste like dr pepper

Very tastey beer. Tastes exactly like if one was to do a Black and Tan of Sam Adams cherry wheat and chocolate bock. Lots of cherry up front and then chocolate on the back end.

Tart cherry flavor up front with a chocolate finish. Better than I expected. Good for a change. Wouldn't drink more than one on a sitting though.
